The Mississippi Law Journal is pleased to announce the election of the Editor-in-Chief for Volume 92, Mary Anna Brand. Mary Anna is from Flowood, Mississippi, and is the daughter of Walter and Anna Brand. Aside from Journal, Mary Anna is also a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Samford University, where she also minored in paralegal studies.
Last summer, Mary Anna clerked at Maynard, Cooper & Gale, PC and Phelps Dunbar, LLC. Both firms are located in Mobile, Alabama. This summer Mary Anna plans on returning to both Maynard Cooper and Phelps Dunbar in Mobile. In her spare time, Mary Anna enjoys spending time with her friends and family, attending Ole Miss and New Orleans Saints sporting events, playing golf, deep-sea fishing, and playing fetch with her dog, Homer.
Mary Anna is most excited to see her classmates transition into their Volume 92 leadership roles, welcome new Staff Editors to Journal, and publish an excellent Volume 92. She cannot wait to see all MLJ will accomplish next year.
