The Mississippi Law Journal is pleased to announce the election of Alden Wiygul as Editor-in-
Chief for Volume 95.

Alden is from Columbus, Mississippi, and is the daughter of Jay Wiygul and Nikki Latham.
Aside from Mississippi Law Journal, she is also a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council,
serves as the Secretary of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, and serves as the Social Media
Chair for the Law Association for Women.

Alden received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of
Alabama. While at the University of Alabama, she published a legal scholarship article with the Capstone Journal of Law and Public Policy and co-authored a psychology paper published with the London Journal of Medical and Health Research.

Last summer, Alden was a legal clerk at Hickman Goza & Spragins in Oxford, Mississippi. This summer she plans to return to Hickman Goza & Spragins and do work in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
In her spare time, Alden enjoys reading, knitting, crocheting, and listening to records.

Alden is most excited to collaborate with the other journal members on the creation of Volume 95. She envisions the Mississippi Law Journal enriching and inspiring the law school community.
